AlchemY of Аpogee [ Part III: Pandora's Box ]
Living in affluence, security and satisfaction takes away our abilities and opportunities to develop and realize ourselves and our Soul’s desires. And that would really infuriate “the thunderer Zeus” (p.114,146) - The All-Creating Spirit. Thus, sometimes life takes away everything we have fought for for years to remind us that it is time to start fighting for what we really need:
• By taking away our Love, it reminds us that it does not need castles and glory, but Freedom and Truth.
• By depriving us of Health, it reminds us that we do not need pride and wealth, but Goodness and Strength.
• Taking away our Reason, remind us that we do not need the stubborn and hard-hearted Ego, but the sensitive and loving Soul.
• By taking away our possessions, He reminds us that we do not need them, but the Creative Spirit. At the end, only the Hope is left for us - the last connection with the Supreme Mind.
If we are faced with such a Fate, it has come only to restore the balance we have upset and to give us a chance to regain our unreasonably wasted strength. If we are blind and unable to get this chance, then the game of life becomes rougher. This rudeness, however, can give us the strength to find and revive our Soul deeply buried in misery. Like the grains of sand that fell into the shell and became the reason for the creation of the priceless Pearl.
When we get to the bottom, there are two choices ahead of us: to be reborn in all our splendor, potential and purity, like a pearl that has just dropped out off its shell, or to continue to stand stubbornly in the shell of our Ego, gaining strength from epinephrine, adrenaline and dopamine, activated by violent negative emotions, until we run out of the last drop of life energy pulsating in our veins.
Hope can be especially painful and exhausting when it reminds us of our helplessness, at the bottom of the impasse into which we have "jumped" on our own. Hope can also be our salvation if it can lead us find the last drop of Light left somewhere in us. (p.59,106,192) If, in the thick fog of delusion, we manage to face our selves. This Essence of ours - completely humble and devoid of pride, will give us the "three threads of Ariadne" which to reconnect us with the Supreme Mind and get out of the labyrinth of our own despair: (p. 38,155)
• The Light hidden in our Soul to illuminate the way back up.
• The Love hidden in our Heart, which warms us and restores our faith.
• The Will of our Spirit, which gives us the strength to break the hard shell of our own Ego, which pulls our Essence to the bottom of darkness.
The Body and the Ego are the physical and mental shields of the Life Energy, born of the opposite energy flows of Yin and Yang in humanbeing. (p.13,18) The creative bliss is the state of the Spirit, and the expecting openness is the state of the Soul. If for some reason we have prevented the merging of these two energy flows, then our Essence begins to suffer from physical or mental illnesses and problems.
The Ego is the ruler of our earthly forces and energies, of our Mind, Consciousness and Subconscious. Therefore, the Ego often feels omnipotent and powerful, and when it fails in its endeavors, it makes us suffer and get sick. As we mentioned in the first part, the Ego needs caresses, love and light, but flattery, pride, doubt, deceit, meanness, gloomy thoughts and fear can make it a monster. (p. 36-38,116-117,146) Only with the will and steadfastness of the Heart Force can we purify and liberate the Ego from its dark side. (p. 13-17,106,170,191)
Looking outside for Love, Goodness and Light, without carrying them in ourselves, we come across a series of disappointments that darken and obscure the Mind and arouse the destructive selfish manifestations. (p.88,99,102,111,117,133, 143,137,167)
The Ego likes to take the place and role of the active Spirit or the compassionate Soul, replacing Reality with the illusory reality of the Ego-consciousness in which it chooses to exist. When we allow the Ego to fulfill our lives amidst stormy emotions and applause, satisfying its hunger for rewards and recognition, we live between the unexperienced scenes of the past and the future, and we constantly miss the Now. The "stage fever" of the Ego does not allow our Consciousness, Intuition, Heart and Mind to touch and feel the causes and consequences of the present moment. To live in the Now means to know the causes in order to acquire the expected wonderful consequence, but also to be able to turn the consequence into the cause that makes us continue, ie: To calm the emotions to see, to hear, to to feel, to sense, to taste, to touch, to perceive, to experience, to realize! (p.13,32,42,112,131,148,157,159)
If we observe our own actions and their consequences on a daily basis, we will master the ability to ignore the false urges of the Ego. To be free means to be able to sacrifice only that side of the self-seeking Ego that takes away light, love, harmony, goodness, abundance, peace, and understanding in Life. (p.85-86,91,162,182) However, if we decide to completely suppress our personal Ego in order to fully serve others "in the name of Good", then we risk depersonalizing and becoming completely subject to other people's interests and ideals, neglecting our inner striving, (unless that is our calling).
The Ego is the integral and Yang-active part of our Yin-potential Mind. To get rid of the Ego means to give up our Mission, to upset the balance in our Physical, Mental, Psychical and Spiritual Manifestations, suppressing our self-awareness, self-preservation and expression. (p.13,18,29,123,152,160)
If we take the Responsibility to maintain Balance, Purity, Truth and Justice in our lives, without judging ourselves and others in one way or another, then we will be able to become conductors of Love, carrying all that we need. Maybe in this way we will be able to find the treasures we had originally set out to look for: (p. 30,148)
• "The Horn of Plenty", hidden in our Heart, which is able to generously, but justly, with measure, but also with boundless Love to distribute, (p.106,133)
• The "Lotus of Knowledge", which seeks to maintain a clean and vibrant "Source of our life", illuminating even the darkest corners of the Ego. (p.102,117)
• The "Philosopher's Stone", hidden in our Mind and revealing to us the endless sea of light, wisdom and potential of our Consciousness. (p.15,36,99,137,144,195)
• The "all-seeing eye" that leads our Spirit and our Will to the infinite Truth, the infinite Wisdom, Youth and Beauty of Life, hidden in the treasury of our Soul. (p.111,123)
The only condition for discovering our treasures is to be ready to receive them, to keep them, to "water them" and to take care of them with Love.
Just as if we want peace, but strive to achieve it and impose it by war, we will never be ready to deserve our dream. To fight a battle, we must be worthy enough for it. Sometimes, in order to win, we have to be ready and able to lose it. The only battle we must never give up and for which we must always be ready is the battle with the darkness within ourselves. The only weapon we must strive to acquire and possess is the Light. Because darkness is nothing but the absence of light.
We must not forget that when we follow our goals and aspirations, the end result will not be different from the funds we have invested to achieve them. Our dreams and desires will bring us exactly these goods with which we have "fed and watered" them, in anticipation of getting what we dreamed of. (p.131,158,157,167,192-195)
If we fail to trust ourselves and let the Higher Hand rule our lives, but instead seek to subordinate this force to the destructive aspirations of the Ego or live in the role of "sacrificial lambs", then we will remain blind and hungry, at the bottom of the endless ocean of possibilities, like glittering pearls enclosed in a mussel shell. If we constantly strive to rotate and dwell in our ego center, then sooner or later we will fall like a spinning top into the dark periphery of life. (p.2,114,184)
Therefore, Prometheus entrusted the "Pandora's Box" to Epimetheus - our Subconscious. He did not destroy the nightmarish memory, misery, horror and evil, as to leave the Key with which people to keep the Pandora's box locked. The same Key that, when only hope remains at the bottom of darkness, will help us free the Soul from the shackles of the monstrous Ego that we ourselves have created and nurtured for years, in ourselves, in our children, in someone we love, or whom we have chosen as governor. (p.15,19,36,93,94,137,143,146,160,190,191,197)
To find the Key we need a Bright Mind, a Pure Heart and gratitude to Fate. (p.3,13,38,102,106,111,117,133,137,143,157) If our inner lantern is working, it is enough to plug it into the Central Power ... We often think that Conscience is the voice of our heart, our Self, our intuition, our inner strength, or the hidden morality that keeps us on the right path and protects us from trouble. Conscience is the voice of God - of the Supreme Mind, which only the pure Heart can hear and understand. Only the Truth is able to keep our Heart pure and our mind Light. If we are strong enough to accept and carry the Truth in us, then we will always be in touch with the Lord - with the infinite potential and the infinite power through which to realize our dreams and lives. (p.42,99,102,106,132,137,143)
